Samode

Located around 42 km from Jaipur, Samode is accessible on a good network of roads and the journey there takes around one hour.

Samode is an ideal desert getaway with its romantic castle and traditional village.  Located on the way to the Shekhawati region, this small village is famous for its havelis and its stunning castle, now a heritage hotel.

During the day, a camel ride or a jeep safari through the Samode village and the surrounding countryside is a good idea for those who wish to see the life of Indian villagers. Visit the homes of local farmers or stop in at the village school for a glance into authentic Rajasthani life.

The Samode Palace Hotel itself is built in the characteristic pattern of an open courtyard with rooms leading off the arched corridor that runs along all the four sides of the building.  The Palace has also opened up a lovely tented camp nearby, for those whose budget cannot stretch to the luxury of the Palace, but who still wish to explore this lovely village.
